Neato screenwriting tools

I've been revising a screenplay that I originally drafted many years ago with some combination of physical index cards and Scrivener.

Now, I've converted it to Fountain, and plopped it into Obsidian along with this handy plugin.

Although the plugin does have a PDF export function, afterwriting.com is kind of amazing for getting the format just right. It also has an option to export for mobile/Kindle reading.

It's cool to think that these are... kind of all you need to get going. No fancy software. Just some ideas and some time.

And if time seems scarce, or The Fear is looming too much -- I reach for this weird little planet-evolving focus app, set it for an hour, and usually look back in amazement at how much better I feel because I simply let myself focus.
